‘Ross-ing’ on the rise

Read this today: “Guest who is pilfering hotel goods?“. I always thought “Ross-ing” (If you watch ‘Friends’, you would know what this means) was a fairly common occurrence.

I have done it myself, having pilfered soap a few times. On one occasion I had a cold so bad, I kept a small towel, and forgot to tell the hotel about that. Most recently, I pulled out a AA battery from the TV remote for use in my wireless mouse, and forgot to replace it. Sorry!

Do they quickly go and check behind your back whether you ‘Rossed’ the room the moment you show up at the checkout counter? Perhaps not, but they always have your credit card or address in case you carry too many things with you ;).
